This advanced class is meant for students that want a challenge! We will prepare students for algebra and high school math very quickly. The emphasis will be on learning through critical thinking and problem solving. Come with us as we learn techniques used on MathCounts, the AMC, and more!

This is a thorough exploration of pre-algebra topics to lay a solid groundwork for later math. However, it is assumed that the students have a solid foundation in arithmetic including fractions and decimals. The topics are wide ranging and the problems range in difficulty from standard to quite challenging. Logic and thinking skills form the basis of the lessons as we learn material to prepare for high school math.
